:: news - All you ungrateful fuckers. [ July 23th, 2008 ] posted by RooZ
Ok, I and everyone else who runs this site, encodes our shows, runs the channel, and helps out in anyway are sick of you fucking leechers who complain, beg, and whine about every fucking thing.We run this site, encode the shows you watch, and run the channel (that most of you don't even visit) for free on own time. You DO NOT pay us for this which gives none of you any right to say anything. We run the site how we want it, if there is a problem with an encode, the HTML messed up, or the site goes down, don't fucking complain! We will fix it if we fucking want because we have no obligation whatsoever to do anything. If you want it fixed, rip the encode yourself, code your own site, or just leave. We don't need people like you wasting our bandwidth and time. So if you are one of these people, please leave this site, we don't want you here. On a more positive note, if you're one of the people who do appreciate what we do and understand that this isn't a business, its a hobby we do in our free time, then thank you, you're always welcome here :) |
:: news - So you're looking for downloads? [ July 20th, 2008 ] posted by RooZ
As you should have already noticed, almost all forms of downloads are down. We've had horrible luck over the last few months, losing the tracker and now the HTTP.
But we're not gonna let a bit of bad luck make us shut down shop... not just yet ;) We are (well I am) going to be putting up a tracker again. This time with the (yet to be completed) Gazelle codebase (what What.CD? uses), and hosted in a country with sane hosting laws (*shakes fist at the US*).So what do you need for this? Well you guessed it, your donations! We've put the majority of this channel and site together from out of own pockets, and most of us are on a student budget, so we need some help for this. Hosting costs upwards of AU$50 a month depending what we need (still working that out, our last tracker had over 1,000 registered users in the three months it was up) so even if 10 of you gave $5 we would be set for a month. You can donate by clicking the donate button on the left, it would be greatly appreciated :) Okay, So how long until this gets up and running? Well seeing as we're going to be using the Gazelle codebase which hasn't been released to the public and hasn't set a release date we don't know. But according to their website its near completion and private beta tests are going to be sent out soon (which I'll try get my hands on one). My best guess would be a few months. Although, depending on how many donations we get, we could put up HTTP downloads as well as a tracker, if this is the case as soon as we get enough donations we'll be putting up the HTTP downloads. This all depends on your generosity, so help out if you have a few bucks to spare :) If you have any questions, come to the IRC channel or post in the forums on the left. If you're looking for an alternative place to download our encodes, vipertong has spent a lot of her time uploading our encodes to MegaUpload, you can find the list of files in this forum. She has also put up a variety of other cartoons in the Other Cartoons section, check that out too and don't forget to thank her! Cheers, |
:: news - Update on HTTP downloads! [ June 16th, 2008 ] posted by RooZ
In an effort to prevent hotlinking of the Classic and 2003 series, I've created a script which only allows downloads from this site. If you want to download the episodes from now on you will have to go to the Release page on the left. If you encounter any problems please tell me :)In other news, I've also re-added the forums. You can access them on the left as well under Forums. It's still pretty basic now but I'll be working on it a bit this week. So join up and help keep the community alive! Also, as always, come join us on the IRC channel! |
:: news - HTTP downloads! [ May 25th, 2008 ] posted by Donatello
Thanks to Dark_Element for hooking us up with some Hostgator hosting, we're now serving all our stuff on HTTP.
Check it out at this link.I might bring back the releases page to give it a more userfriendly interface. But that's only if I can be bothered. :D Update: For now the HTTP is open and free (no password) we'll probably put a password back to stop other sites hotlinking. When we do it'll still involve the !pass trigger on IRC. If you enjoy our free service, support us by either donating by clicking the PayPal button to the left, or at the least coming to our IRC channel for a chat! Also, we now have two 100mbit file servers (PrivateAle and BarelyLegalTeen) and one 100mbit XDCC (MassivePhallus) avaliable. |
:: news - We're moving! [ May 21st, 2008 ] posted by RooZ
We're moving back to DejaToons, if you've been with us long enough to remember, DejaToons was our home network just over 3 years ago. DejaToons is more catered towards cartoons, whereas IRCHighway was just a general network.The server address is irc.dejatoons.net and #tmnt-files is still the channel name. So make sure to update your auto-connect and auto-join lists! |
:: news - Tracker is down! [ April 25th, 2008 ] posted by Donatello
Likely forever...The hosting company, Dreamhost, we were using to host the tracker, decided as of last week or so that we were engaging in "contributory copyright infringement" whatever that means, although the tracker had been on their servers for several months. Since it was RooZ's own personal webspace that he so kindly allowed us to use, when they took the account down, not only the tracker went, but all of his personal stuff he stored on there too, and they won't provide us a means of getting it all back. We're still trying but it doesn't look hopeful. So for now there will be no downloads. But I'm thinking of having an HTTP system set up again. The plan we're on with Brinkster, the company this site is hosted on, allows us 2TB transfer per month and we could upgrade it to 3.5TB if need be. It's worth a shot since the last time we did HTTP downloads it was once again on Dreamhost. Maybe Brinkster won't be such tight asses with their bandwidth and rules. Anyway, there'll be something going... not gonna let this place die :) |
